Disney Channel Hits: Take 1 - Regular Disney Channel favorites including Hilary Duff, whose "Lizzie McGuire Theme Song" is heard here in its "Extended Supa Mix" and the teen superstar Raven, who performs her catchy theme song (plus the phenomenally percussive "Supernatural" and the climactic "Shine"), predominate DISNEY CHANNEL HITS: TAKE 1. But the album really belongs to a cartoon character from the past who likes origami and gourmet cooking--Dave the Barbarian. Dave's signature tune, which may well be for the era's youngsters what the BANANA SPLITS song was for the kids of the early 1970s, is perhaps the catchiest tune of its kind since THE JETSONS, and should be a staple of kids' parties for a long time to come. It's closely followed in enjoyability by the swing-style "Even Stevens Theme Song," which features some red-hot guitar picking, and the remarkably fast-flowing "The Naked Mole Rap," which should provide hours of tongue-twisting fun.
