Moscow Elegy - Masterly Russian film director Andrei Tarkovsky is the subject of this lovingly made and thought-provoking documentary. Alexander Sokurov, a filmmaker belonging to the Tarkovsky lineage, directed this portrait for Leningrad State Documentary Productions, and includes footage from Tarkovsky's films, commentary on the repressive nature of the Soviet regime, and footage of Tarkovsky's funeral.
