Kano Technologies SureVAULT 800 RAID-5 (surevault800-360) 120 GB - The SureVAULT 800 is a hot-pluggable FireWire storage solution and is immediately recognized by Mac OS X and Windows XP without the need for additional software. With its combination FireWire 800, FireWire 400 and USB 2.0 connections, the SureVAULT 800 has the flexibility to work with virtually any Mac or PC. This 360GB model (240GB formatted) features data transfer rates of 90MB/s (FireWire 800) and 45MB/s (FireWire 400), and RAID 5 data protection. Because it stripes data to three disk drives simultaneously, it delivers your data to disc faster than a single drive, thus delivering optimized performance. And it does this all at the block level so it works with all types of data and partition schemes. In case of drive failure, SureVAULT 800 automatically switches operations to the remaining drives and alerts you visually and audibly that a drive has failed.
