2000 BMW M5 - BMW has released the all new M5 sport sedan. The M5 is based on the 540i six-speed sedan, and it is the first M car powered by a V-8 engine. This V-8 engine features a special induction system with eight individual throttles, and is BMWs first V-8 engine equipped with Double VANOS. Exterior features unique to the M5 are M aerodynamic mirrors, high-gloss shadowline trim, 18-inch M double spoke wheels, and a special front spoiler and rear air diffusor. The M5 is also available in several special M colors: Imola Red, Carbon Black, Silverstone, and Avus Blue. The interior is offered in two themes: Sport and Exclusive. Lastly, BMW offers these optional features: rear side airbags, a fold-down rear seat, and park distance control.
