4 Horsepower Four - Stroke Outboard - 15'' Shaft - Tohatsu's new, clean-running 4-HP four-stroke engines not only meet the tough EPA 2006 standards for outboard emissions, they provide powerful, smooth-running performance and impressive fuel economy, using as little as a half a gallon of fuel per hour when run continuously wide open. Like the other powerful Tohatsu Marine 4-strokes, the 4-HP engines operate smoothly due to the Tohatsu advanced cross flow induction system. The canister style oil filter makes it easy to keep your standard maintenance simple and an automatic choke and a compression release on the pull cord give you easy starting. Weighing in at just 57 lbs., Tohatsu's 4-HP four-stroke motors are among the lightest in their class. Features include a .29 gallon integral fuel tank, a well-engineered lubricating system, thermostatically controlled water cooling, and through the prop exhaust. Geared with Forward, Neutral, and Reverse for convenient operation. Both short and long shaft models available.
