The A-991 features Yanagisawa's sway-free mechanism for F auxiliary and low C-sharp keys, which affords better airtightness and intonation and facilitates adjustment and repair. This saxophone is favored by many players. The A-991 features a gold lacquered body, double arm key, sway-free auxiliary key mechanism, high F# and low C# mechanisms, tri-point balanced bell brace, rounded ocatve key, air tight waterproof pads, needle springs and gold plated thumb rest.
